I don't normally ask for favors...

Journal Entry: Thu May 8, 2008, 11:31 AM
....and I don't plan on making a habit of it.

But I was wondering if you fine folks a' plenty would mind checking out an online, webrowser game that a friend of mine worked on (he was the programmer). It's called DINO*RUN. I've been beta testing it for around 2 months now, and everyone has put a lot of hard work into it! It's an effing sweet game if your a fan of platformers (mario), speedrunners (sonic) or games where you get to play a DINOSAURE!!

So yeah, go check it out! There are two versions of the game, there is a singleplayer and a multiplayer version! The game is free to play and there aren't any strings attached. I'd suggest practicing on the single player and then jumping into the multi-player and racing me!! There are three racing servers, and you can just scan the player list for my name, which is: thedarkmass and I usually race on the “dino central” server.

here is the link:

You can also chat in a chatroom while you're waiting to race, so right on. Oh, and if you don't see me immediately, remember that I might be in a race at the moment – if you're in a race, you are no longer shown in the chat member list. Also, I'd like to hear some of your comments about the game, so if you try it out, come back here and let me know what you thought of it.

See you dinos later!

Fan Fiction Redone and Released

Journal Entry: Sun May 4, 2008, 11:44 AM
You guys may recognise "The Lonliest Pipe in Brooklyn", which I just uploadd, and I think some of you have fond memories of it from the first time I released it. Well, you might want to give it another try because I spent the whole morning rewriting it and I think you're going to dig the new version.

It has a new begining and end, and I add some stuff to the body of the story as well, which really changes some of the tones and whatnot.

Also, I'm still working on that Short Short I promised, but it seems to be giving more problems than I expected, so it needs a little more time in the oven.

New Short Short Coming Soon

Journal Entry: Fri May 2, 2008, 6:02 PM
I have a new short short similar to "Waiting on Rosemarie Lake", where all the action happens off page. I haven't figured out a name for this style. Passive aggressive fiction? I don't know. Anyway, I just have the idea for now, but I wanted to say to those who keep seeing old stuff coming back up that there is new stuff on the way as well. Just a matter of time management.

Thanks to you all for checking out the old stuff again, much appreciated! :)

Submitting to Resubmission

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 28, 2008, 3:15 PM
So yeah, you all are really great and have convinced me, through your wonderful posts and notes, that maybe I should keep some of my stuff on here.

So get ready for me to submit a bunch of stuff you've probably already seen or read. Thing is, I haven't had time lately to write much new shit, nor take many new pictures or do any new drawings or anything like that. So I'll mix it up. And if you see a picture you haven't seen or a poem or a story you haven't read, so much the better.

In the meantime I'll work on getting some new material for you all. But you'll have to bear with me both on material as well as responses. Due to the rude assholes on DA, I'm just going to do all my talking on my journal or via notes and I'll put a reminder in the author's note to contact me via note if you want to talk about a specific piece. But comments will definately be removed from underneith my stuff. I figure if you have a suggestion, it's just as easy to drop me a note you know.

Thanks for being nice and talking me into staying. I'm really gonna make an effort to stay a part of this community. Even when I was away my thoughts often drifted to you (you know who you are) and that's why I came back in the first place.

Can't wait to talk to all of you again.

Laters.

D.

Where Have You Been?

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 24, 2008, 4:01 PM
Boy that was a long break wasn't it?

I wish I could tell you something exotic happened like Ninjas kidnapped me or I quit my job at citibank and became a crab fisher, but that's not the case. Not that anyone gives a shit at this point because I doubt anyone even remembers me or anything but I feel bad that I just kinda dropped off the forum like that so I figure I owe you imaginary people reading this some kind of explaination.

It was sort of a combination of things. For one, it was the community here. While there were tons of cool people, there were an even larger number who were mean and would say shit like "Go to Myspace!". And sending me notes to that affect and that just got old - theyd say my writing sucked, my art sucked and my photography was shit. That, on top of the fact that twice I caught people stealing my work - once it was my writing and once it was my art (hence why I deleted all of it from here) - and you may be wondering, well then why did you delete your pics? Well, if I deleted both my art and my writing, I kinda felt like I needed to delete my shitty pictures, otherwise the DEVIANTARTPURITANS would really come in heavy with their "YOU FUCKING MYSPACE PERSON! DIE!!!" threats.

So that was two things. Plus, I started beta testing software for more than a passing interest, and it started taking over my computer time. And, to top it all off, they changed the policy at Citibank and stopped us from browsing while we worked, so that took a big chunk out of my time here as well.

Next thing you know, time has gone by and you think "Well, I'll jump on tomorrow and say hey to everyone." and then you get caught up and months go by. Eventually you feel embarrased that you haven't been on in so long, so you actually avoid it on purpose because you'er afraid people are mad that you just up and vanished.

But I'm owning up, folks. Sorry for being a jerk and dropping off the face of the earth. I do miss some of you dearly, you know who you are. I'd like to talk, but I don't think DA likes me very much so maybe we could catch up some other way. Or I could just use it for communication or something. I mean, I'm definately not going to put any more stuff on here cause I really don't want it stolen - eventually I want that stuff to be more than just something I enjoy doing.

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well.
